How MF Tomlinson’s spreading the sonic love across the world following his BIGSOUND Showcase.
Hailing from Meanjin, MF Tomlinson (formerly of Yves Klein Blue), draws acid folk, prog, jazz and ambient melodies into his orbit to create sonic worlds that lie somewhere in between Bill Callahan, Yo La Tengo, and Leonard Cohen. His second album We Are Still Wild Horses, was released in February 2023 to a remarkable critical reception, receiving five-star reviews from The Times, Uncut, Mojo, and The Line of Best Fit. It also paved the way for a slew of live dates at The Great Escape, The End of the Road, and of course, BIGSOUND in 2023, that resulted in some major career moves.
2024 has already proven to be a big year for MF Tomlinson. Not only is he a finalist in Happy Mag’s 2024 Needle In The Hay Vinyl Competition, but he has also graced the stages of Fair Play Festival in the UK and One Of A Million Festival in Switzerland, sharing his unique soundscapes with audiences across Europe.
